WELCOME TO TEAM MEDICAL AUSTRALIA

Team Medical Australia (TMA) is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that provides medical services to motorsport competitors, support crews and officials.

Risks of motorsport to competitors are widely publicised and under race conditions the potential for roll-overs, collisions at high speed, pit lane fires, high velocity impact with speed traps and barriers are very much a reality. When these instances happen, members of Team Medical Australia are sent to respond. Our volunteer members are a dedicated core of nurses, doctors, paramedics and drivers specialising in the provision of emergency medical care at motorsport events.

The values of our organisation are focused on team work, working together with all groups at motorsport events focusing on providing the best care for our patients and their families and supporting all those we come into contact with, with compassion and commitment to high standards of quality clinical trauma care.

TMA now offers a new modular training program that comprehensively covers motor sports related trauma and medical services. This ground breaking development in motor sports medicine in Australia covers both clinical and non-clinical aspects of Team Medical premier medical service. For more information, email:

DUNLOP TOWNSVILLE 400 & NORTON 360 SANDOWN CHALLENGE
May 2009
Two fantastic events have been added to the event calendar for Team Medical Australia. The inaugural Dunlop Townsville 400 will be held at Reid Park, Townsville in Far North Queensland July 10-12. The Norton 360 Sandown Challenge will then follow at the end of July (July 31-Aug 2).
Team Medical Australia has been given the title of 'preferred service provider" by V8 Supercar Events - the promoter of the events.

"It is great that our exceptional service at the Phillip Island and Bathurst rounds of the V8 Supercars Championship has been acknowledged, and that we have been asked to be involved with these two events." said Dr Brent May (TMA Executive committee member).

The Dunlop Townsville 400 and Norton 360 Sandown Challenge adds to the L&H 500 Phillip Island and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, giving Team Medical Australia members the opportunity to attend four rounds of the V8 Supercar Championship!
