| WELCOME TO TEAM MEDICAL AUSTRALIA |
Team Medical Australia (TMA) is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that provides medical services to motorsport competitors, support crews and officials. Risks of motorsport to competitors are widely publicised and under race conditions the potential for roll-overs, collisions at high speed, pit lane fires, high velocity impact with speed traps and barriers are very much a reality. When these instances happen, members of Team Medical Australia are sent to respond. Our volunteer members are a dedicated core of nurses, doctors, paramedics and drivers specialising in the provision of emergency medical care at motorsport events.
The values of our organisation are focused on team work, working together with all groups at motorsport events focusing on providing the best care for our patients and their families and supporting all those we come into contact with, with compassion and commitment to high standards of quality clinical trauma care.
TMA now offers a new modular training program that comprehensively covers motor sports related trauma and medical services. This ground breaking development in motor sports medicine in Australia covers both clinical and non-clinical aspects of Team Medical premier medical service. NEWS 4 October 2011 TMA volunteers are meeting up at the 'Mecca' of Australian motor sports - Bathurst's Mount Panorama! TMA officials from NSW, Victoria, and even as far away as Western Australia have started to arrive for the International V8 Supercars Championship - Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. Prolific Corporation Australia. 23 July 2011 TMA are thrilled to announce that we have signed a multi-year, multi-event contract with V8 Supercar Events. This agreement will see TMA continue to provide the medical services to the V8 Supercars Events that are on our calendar for the next three years. "TMA has always received great support from V8 Supercar Events and we look forward to a long partnership between our organisations", said TMA's Peter Castledine. "It also reaffirms TMA's status as the preferred medical service provider to V8 Supercar Events." TMA members will get the opportunity to attend some of the most exciting motor sport events in Australia, including the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, and the Telstra Sydney 500 V8 Supercars Grand Finale.
