ABOUT TEAM MEDICAL AUSTRALIA

Team Medical Australia (TMA) started from humble beginnings in 2004 with one aim, to enable its members the opportunity to support motorsport at all levels and to improve motorsports medical care in Australia.

Since then the team has continued to grow year on year and boasts a member list which now comprises over 700 members.

TMA's first event was to provide emergency medical services at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the Victorian Mini Car Club. After just 12 months TMA went "National" by providing services for the V8 Supercar Grand Finale at Phillip Island, the Mount Panorama Circuit for the inaugural "International Motor Festival" and Bega for the "Bega rally". TMA also provided medical services for the 2007 round of the A1GP "World Cup of Motorsport" at Eastern Creek Raceway, NSW.

TMA is the preferred medical service provider to Supercar Events since 2011. We are also the preferred medical service provider for Motorsport Australia Nationals - Speed Series.

An accredited Advanced First Aid provider in world leading first aid legislation by the Victorian government.

ISO 9001:2015 certified in Quality Assurance.

TMA has grown to become the premier motorsports medical service in the country. TMA has assisted in the setup and organisation of the inaugural Singapore and Korean Formula 1 Grand Prix and supplies the extrication team for the Australian Grand Prix and assists in the provision of services for the MotoGP and World SBK.

Our People

TMA's members are all experienced volunteer motorsport officials and have a high level of "motorsport awareness".

Our doctors, nurses, paramedics and first aiders are experienced in prehospital and trauma medicine. We provide significant training resources in specific motor sport medicine training to keep our personnel some of the best in world.

All of TMA's rapid response drivers are highly experienced and also trained in firefighting, rescue and first-aid. This enables them to ensure that scene safety is maintained while the medical crew is at work and allows them to assist when required.
